Located just 15 minutes by car from San Antonio de Portmany. Cala Conta (Sant Josep de Sa Talaia) is one of the most visited destinations by tourists and residents of the island. Without a doubt it is a magical place that falls in love.

This beach has several coves of white sand, bathed by transparent turquoise waters from which you can see the islands of Es Bosc, Sa Conillera, Ses Bledes and S’Espartar. For this reason, it’s very popular, and it is considered one of the 10 most beautiful beaches in the world.
There are two stretches of sand, one protected by the rocky shoreline and the other by sand dunes. Its shallow waters are safe for the families with children , although it is very important to be aware of the currents. Some days it is possible to find the sea a little rough with waves.

From the top of the cliffs, at the west end. You will find some stone steps at the edge of the cliff. Going down on one side is the Chiringuito Cala Escondida, where you can go to have breakfast early in the morning, have lunch or enjoy the sunset. Their prices are normal, you will not be surprised. It is a very small beach but a very beautiful place.
Torre d’en Rovira
It is an 18th century refuge, created to watch over the western islets and the port of Sant Antoni. It was built in 1763 to monitor the arrival of pirates in the area.
